Infrastruct facilitated focus groups for users of an experimental energy monitoring system which allows householders to take a more informed approach to their energy consumption - The Digital Environment Home Energy Management System ( DEHEMS ) Living Labs project www.dehems.eu

Feedback from the focus groups (from the DEHEMS newsletter, October 2010)

This was an essential part of the feedback process, especially in understanding what impact the project is having on your energy usage. DEHEMS  found this to be a very insightful experience and a great opportunity to meet and hear from people directly.    

Here is a sample of some comments that were received from attendees;

'It has encouraged me to turn off my appliances'

'The project has made me aware of my daily routine'

'Being involved with the project has had a positive impact on my children'

'Encouraged me to purchase energy efficient appliances' 

So far, there has been an 8% reduction in the average daily energy usage across the Living Labs as a result of this initiative.
