Rochdale Boroughwide Housing Management Programme completed

After three years, the programme Infrastruct has been running with Rochdale Boroughwide Housing for their middle management has now finished.

Background

This Middle Management programme mixed workshops, action learning sets and service improvement projects, equipping the managers with the behaviours, tools and techniques to excel in their roles.  The delegates all worked extremely hard and are currently putting what they have learned into practice as they manage their projects.

Programme Aims

The aims of the programme were to ensure that:

1. Middle Managers are able to demonstrate the knowledge, skills and working styles appropriate to their role.

2.  Middle Managers across the different teams within the organisation display consistent working styles.

3.  Individual Middle Managers are deemed to be developing, competent or strong when appraised against the competencies relevant to their role.

Outcomes

Six project groups from Infrastruct Middle Management Development Programme at Rochdale Borough Wide Housing are continuing to make an impact on the company, so much so that they’re putting themselves forward as a winning company.

Cohorts from the programme have put in place;

  •  A renewed employee survey
  •  A value for money staff suggestion scheme.

Others have helped create;

  • A project management toolkit
  • A staff competency framework

The latest group are breathing new life into;

  • The balanced scorecard project (re-named Vital Statistics)
  • The annual employee conference
