Infrastruct has an established record in training on management and leadership, especially in the context of the government's modernisation agenda. We have extensive experience of designing and delivering training in the public sector, ranging from local authority services and civil service departments to uniformed fire officers and newly-created housing organisations. Infrastruct is skilled in all aspects of training, from training needs analysis to evaluation. We design and deliver workshops, away days and courses to match the needs of each client organisation, delivered at our training room or on the client's premises. We bring our accumulated expertise to each project, so that we are continually up-dating our practice and providing value for public money. The IDeA’s Peer Challenge for Level 3 of the Equality Standard has been introduced to support the progress of local councils in mainstreaming equality and diversity in employment and service delivery. The Peer Challenge assessment framework is based on the Equality Standard and provides a basis from which authorities can progress to levels 4 and 5 of the Standard. It has been developed with the assistance of a number of councils and tested in a series of pilot assessments. So far, Infrastruct has run 4 Diversity Peer challenge courses of which seventy people have undertaken the course. Under the revised Equality Standard for Local Government (2007) there is a requirement for external challenge at level 3 and 5. The Peer Challenge provides and external challenge at level 3 of the Equality Standard. The aim of the workshop is to brief IDeA Diversity Peers in the Peer Challenge process so that they can carry out assessments at Level 3 of the Equality Standard. ![]() Infrastruct facilitated the East Manchester Interagency Training Programme. Infrastruct has expertise in the management of diversity, and much of our training activity embeds equality and diversity within service delivery and employment processes.
